Inside Sales Associate

Job Description:

The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for developing new leads and appointments for our outside sales force, marketing support, and providing follow-up sales support as needed. Barry Communications is a highly respected VAR in business for over 25 years with a strong customer base. Full or part-time employment will be considered.Flexible hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for targeting and identifying sales opportunities
  • Prospecting and generating new business opportunities for the company through calling on and maintaining an accurate and up to date database
  • Pre-sales responsibilities including primary contact for prospective customer until close of sale
  • Answering telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through their own efforts and as instructed by management
  • Scheduling appointments for account executive to meet with prospective customers or for prospective customers to attend sales presentations or scheduled demos
  • Providing excellent customer service. Relationship building with all prospective customers
  • Delivering prepared sales talksusing scripts that describe products or services, in order to persuade potential customers to set up an appointment with an Account Manager.
  • Maintaining contact with potential customers and providing them information about the company and its products via live contact and thru email to generate interest.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education/Experience

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • 2+ years of phone sales, inside sales support, or related experience required
  • Experience with maintaining a customer database required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Self motivated and organized
  • Good communication
  • Good computer and software skills

Compensation:

$12-$15 per hour. Bonus structure.
